Goddess of the hunt and wilderness. Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin of Apollo. The firstborn, delivered under the light of the moon she helped her mother give birth to Apollo in the bright light of the Sun, Artemis became a goddess of the moon (alongside Selene) and Apollo the sun god. Gifted a bow from her father Zeus, Artemis was a skilled hunter becoming known as goddess of the hunt.
