Circe was a minor deity and the goddess of sorcery and magic, daughter of Helios and Perseus, Circe was especially known for her knowledge and potions. Her most well known tale is from the Iliad when Odysseus and his man land on her island where she lured his men in and turned them into pigs. Eventually Odysseus went to find them and sought to kill Circe but instead she invited him into her bed. Circe turned his men back into men and allowed them to live for a while on her island.
For this colourway I wanted to invoke earthy dried plants and herbs used for potion making. Soft dusty browns and pink with washes of green.
